PDFplus
The best of both worlds
Reports show that for the online delivery of full-text content users demand the reference linking interactivity of HTML, yet given the choice, they are nearly four times as likely to opt for PDF. With its lower cost and fidelity to print, publishers also prefer PDF, which has long been considered the authoritative edition of an article.
Atypon's PDFplus allows you to retain the advantages of the PDF format while adding incredible value to your content. PDFplus dynamically overlays reference links and reduces download time by compressing images, enabling you to provide users with full-text PDF articles with the functionality of HTML, at a fraction of the cost.

Linking: now a two-way street
Each article is part of a chain of references: articles cite prior articles at the time of publication, and are in turn cited by subsequent articles.
PDFplus provides this two-way linking within the PDF article. This is achieved by utilizing external bibliographic databases such as CrossRef, PubMed, and additional abstracting and indexing databases that the publisher selects.
When links change or are added, the changes are automatically reflected in your PDFs, meaning your links—both forward and backward—are always valid and up-to-date.
"As a medical scientific publisher, linking our online references is essential for us to maintain the service level that savvy online subscribers have come to expect. PDFplus allows us to offer this critical service to users who prefer full-text PDF, and for our single article delivery customers.
Atypon's turnaround time is very quick. This is important to us because we host our own content. If we ever have problems with our data, or inquiries with regard to how a file should be deposited, Atypon's technical staff is always very swift to respond with a solution or suggestion."
