SANTA CLARA, CA – September 26th 2005 – Atypon announced today the appointment of Martin Marlow to the new senior management position of Vice President of global Sales and Marketing, further strengthening the high caliber of the existing technology solution partner's executive team. Martin officially joins Atypon on Monday 17th October for the Frankfurt bookfair, overseeing all areas of sales, marketing, business and customer development. Martin will be responsible for driving the commercial growth and ongoing discussions with all Atypon's customer partners, as well as expanding Atypon's marketing capabilities and brand awareness. He will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the new UK international office that will be opening in Abingdon, just south of Oxford in the coming weeks.

Martin brings more than 20 years senior management experience in the electronic information and e-commerce arenas, focusing on sales, strategic & operational marketing, electronic product development and publisher/partner relations. Martin's career spans all the key stages in the development of the industry, from CD-ROM to the latest web based delivery systems. He has conceived, sold and marketed a wide range of services including e-journal and e-book aggregation platforms, cross-format e-content retrieval systems, online ordering and claiming systems and various online portals and communities. His past positions include Director of Electronic Commerce for Blackwell Ltd, VP Product and Marketing for Wide Learning Multimedia and Sales and Marketing Director (Academic) for SilverPlatter Information Inc. For the last 3 years he has been Director of Strategic Marketing for ProQuest Information and Learning International, responsible for top-level strategic and product-level marketing, specialist sales support and international business development across EMEA, Latin and South America and Asia Pacific.
