SANTA CLARA, CA USA – December 1, 2003 – Atypon Systems announced that its publisher customers have realized significant increases in overall site usage, new user registrations, and pay-per-view revenues since they started using Atypon technology.

Sites such as Blackwell Synergy and Annual Reviews are enjoying up to a 53% increase in overall site usage in one month. With Atypon's Literatum e-publishing software at the core, these sites are hosted, operated, and managed by Atypon as part of a full service offering. Literatum is a full service adaptive information management platform that allows publishers hands-on control of the administration of their content and users.

In reviewing data from the last six months, Atypon found the following increases across its publishers' sites:

• An average increase of 20% per month in overall site usage the last six months; 237% increase in overall site usage since June of 2003
• An average increase of a 13% in new user registrations each month for the last six months, resulting in an 1.8 fold increase in total new users registering since June 2003.
• Ability to handle multiple work flows for different journals, societies, or content.
• An average increase of 13% each month in pay-per-view revenues over the past six months; a 172% overall increase in revenues since June of 2003
